Having lost almost 3 weeks due to the stormy wet weather, Friday morning resumption was scuppered by a flat battery. I was lucky to find a replacement battery close by but still missed my meeting in Great Yarmouth. Several further delays, including road resurfacing three minutes into the journey provided good illustration of how quickly plans can go wrong.

It is interesting that we so often apply words that represent being alive to technology. The battery reading, ‘Life: 0%’ could be a patient monitor in a hospital! It is curious that we have not evolved more non-living terminologies for describing technology?
